#BREAKINGShreveport Police seek suspects in robbery; beating of local man![]() Shreveport Police are seeking to locate a group of suspects responsible for robbing and beating a local man in late October.
Back on October 28, 2016, Shreveport Police were called to the Jiffy Pack convenience store located in the 7800 block of Linwood Avenue relative to a robbery of an individual which reportedly occurred one day prior. When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the victim who advised that while he was at the store the previous day, he was exiting the store when he was accosted by a group of males who attacked him after asking him for money. Video surveillance of the incident revealed the suspect made off driving a light tan or silver colored, older model Nissan Sentra with no hubcaps and damage to the hood. The suspects are believed to frequent or live in the area. The victim, who suffered minor injuries, was reportedly disoriented following the incident and was not immediately sure what took place initially. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373 or visit their website at www.lockemup.org Cpl. Christine Ricks talks about the volunteer work she does to help inner city kids in Milwaukee on Aug. 2, 2016. Ricks, who says she grew up next to "the biggest dope house in the entire city," works as a substitute teacher and has almost no money. But she’s still optimistic that her life will improve, and that Clinton will be elected. "I think it’s going to be all right; I just don't know how,” she said. “I would describe it as complete faith in God. Literally. From moment to moment.” (AP Photo/Scott Bauer)
