by Marcinho Savant, Staff Writer Republican presidential candidate the, “New Yorker”, last week, has had what can only be described as a little meltdown. His grievance? The distribution of delegates per the rules of the 2016 Republican Delegate Allocation guidelines. The candidate whined, “It’s very unfair, the 1,237. The reason it’s very unfair — and I think I’ll get there, I think I’ll get there! — but the reason it’s very unfair is the following: “When I started there were 17 candidates and people never says this — I’ve never even heard it said — those early states — nobody says it and it’s very unfair — but on a lot of those early… there were so many candidates that if you got 30% or 25%, you’d win and it would be an unbelievable victory. Honestly, Kasich should not be allowed to run and I’ll go opposite on you: he hurts Trump much more than he hurts Cruz.” Pardon me? Unfair. Unfair? I must be out my, Geoffrey Davenport, mind. I never expected to hear a candidate for the highest responsibility in the nation, whine like a fifth-grader who wasn’t picked for dodge ball. The candidate asserts that his lesser opponents, in general, are depriving him votes by their mere presence in the race. This is true. If they’re not voting for he who shall not be named, they are voting for Cruz, or Kasich. Mathematics: 101. The candidate’s unmitigated, astoundingly unprofessional, Caterwauling--- is nothing less than shockingly off-putting, immature, crybaby, nonsense. It is the height of juvenile, pouting, sour grapes, and a dazzling representation of the content of a man’s character. An humiliation, to our, already-challenged, nation, and all we have struggled so long to achieve. All appearances allude to the condition of having a spoiled, privileged, entitled child running for office who is unable to cope with having sand kicked in his face in the sandbox. Well? All candidates are in the proverbial sandbox, and have been for centuries. How on earth can the American voter have anything but a complete lack of confidence in a candidate that winnows rules, and whines, when things get tough? Is this a candidate that we’d want in the highest position of power in the free world. I think not. Think: Kim Jung Un--- with a private jet, and a hotel “empire”. The candidate has the audacity to decry the entire delegates system “rigged”, and “crooked”. Yet there are some who might assert that anyone so “successful” in business, might have a touch of those two traits in themselves. True we created a monster, the public, and the media. Also complicit in this SNAFU is the candidate, himself. Bluster, hyperbole, fiction, fabrication, outright falsehoods, and lies are titillating to the simplest of minds--- but in the light of day, are trite, dangerous, frightening, and short-lived. It is inconceivable that any sane person could cast a vote for a caricature. Those who patronize TV “professional wrestling”, on which the candidate has performed, by the way, in a most-unpresidential manner (Google it). What impression does that sort of image give to the world? To those who still think of the United States as a prototype of ideal, while imperfect, governance? It looks like a farcical circus act, with a Head-clown, also acting as Ringleader. In what alternative universe is that sort of leader even a consideration? Short answer? None. Far greater minds than that of this writer will determine the chronicling of this fractious, pandering, terrifying, nightmare in the books of history. America is, finally, awakening to realize that the Emperor, while clothed, is wearing attire manufactured by his company in “Chiiiiii-nuhh”. The candidate’s, loved, “poorly educated people”, duck-walk, gleefully, and ignorantly, behind this false prophet, and it is finally coming to light, that this can actually be a “Yuuuuuuuuge” problem for this country, if it isn’t managed properly. The majority, historically, is not always right (eg: slavery, suffrage, voting rights, miscegenation, accessibility, and the list goes on). Then, there are all of the talking head, guns-for-hire that the candidate has in the field, spreading the panic, and rule by fear. It is not missed that he has been certain to hire people of color as shills, and barkers. The sky may not be falling, yet, however this election process is reeking of the worst conceivable, rotting, kettle of fish our forbearers could possibly have imagined. I, for one, am not one to generally say, “I told you so!”, but I do see chickens (predictions) continuing to come home to roost. The candidate, recklessly, passive-aggressively, enables and fosters a climate of bigotry, xenophobia, misogyny, anger, fear, hatred and sanctioned violence among his base. On camera. Comparisons have, loudly, been made to Adolph Hitler in many corners of the world--- including Germany. Wouldn’t they know? Black, white, gay, straight, blind--- Atheist, Christian, or Jew--- Hindu, Baha’i, or otherwise. Crippled, or emotionally disturbed... We all deserve to live in a land that will, rigorously, promote, and defend, freedom, and equality for us all. An example for the world. As for the candidate, based on what I’ve observed, he doesn’t appear up to the task. Therefore, he is welcome to pick up his marbles--- and go. If you choose not to vote your hard-fought right, and conscience, then you cannot, righteously, complain.
